Responsibilities:
- Position entails performing all aspects of the finishing process for Dayton-Granger’s parts, including masking products prior to sanding or painting.
- Remove mask and touch-up painted surfaces prior to presentation to quality inspection.
- Buffing or polishing any imperfection on units to meet our workmanship and industry standards for parts finishing.
- Completes production orders and related tasks on time and to the customer’s specification.
- Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in roles involving finishing, sanding, painting, or assembly of components.
- Tools: Proficient in the use of hand and air tools, with the ability to mask, buff, and polish parts to meet precise industry standards.
- Attention to Detail: Strong visual inspection skills with the ability to identify and correct imperfections, ensuring high-quality finishes on all products.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of performing tasks that involve physical demands such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 pounds, and using tools that require good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of and commitment to following all safety protocols and guidelines as outlined by the Facility Engineer/Safety Director.
