Responsibilities:
- Design and create new process flow and work instructions with the correct process lead times, capacity analysis, and resources (machines and labor).
- Assist in the development and implementation of advanced production processes and tooling methodologies.
- Develop and execute engineering evaluation plans for experimental or analysis of new materials, new processes or new improvements.
- Resolve technical process problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
- Review, analyze and coordinate the implementation of methods and procedures to control and improve manufacturing processes. Assist in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
- Implement and maintain process FMEA (Failure mode and effect analysis) on all DG core processes in the effort to mitigate the risk of process failures and their severity. Maintain DG manufacturing best practice database and workmanship standard.
- Interpret company policies and maintain safety and quality standards.
- Other assigned tasks by management.
- Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director
Education level required:
- Bachelor’s or MS Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment working with assembly processes
- Demonstrate mechanical ability and knowledge of various manufacturing methods, fabrication processes (e.g., composites, structures, forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, Numerical Control programming, instrumentation, and control systems). Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies.
- Strong Analytical Skills and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
